About
Sergey Melnitchenko’s project Tattoos of War (2023) shows black-and-white portraits where images of war are projected onto the faces and bodies of Ukrainians, creating conditional “tattoos” of memory. These imprints symbolize the pain, losses, and resilience shared by millions. Sergey works with analog medium-format photography and envisions the series as silver gelatin prints. Part of the project entered the Alexander-Tutsek Stiftung collection, reflecting international recognition and reminding the world of Ukraine’s collective experience.
